12 Days of Christmas - 9 Ladies Dancing 12/21/2010
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me nine ladies dancing, eight maids a milking, seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, five golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. The question for today is..... What is the most sought out Christmas gift you have bought or are still looking for this year? Remember to be eligible for the drawing at the end of the day you must answer the questions completely AND sign with your first name, city and state in the reply box (you can put all that info. in the first line that says name). My nephew's always got me on the hunt for something he 'has to have'. One year it was Bakugans (is that spelled correctly?), last year it was a special Ripstick and this year, of all things, a blowdart gun. The blowdart gun has eluded me so he's getting a gift card to Academy instead (and the blowdart gun is ordered for his birthday in January). I'm not much for having to hunt out presents but I try to get what the kiddos want. I much prefer the easy ones! Donna Valdez 12/21/2010 6:11am
A family tradition that we started some years ago is to go shopping on Black Friday. After scanning all the sales ads. We make a list of the items we want, then hit the stores at an insane hour of the morning. Never fails, we get to the store to start the hunt for the one electronic toy or gadgets we just have to have. After standing in a line for the Nitendo DS that we just have, there is always someone trying to snatch your prize out of your hands. Since we my sister and I go together we are able to stand our ground to keep our prize just because the nephew has to have the Nitendo DS. Donna - Boerne, Texas 12/21/2010 8:31am
I am always a year or 2 behind on technology so this year I bought a Wii as a gift only to learn that they need at least one more controller and num-chuk! I got those and a couple of games but I'm sure they will have to go to the store to get something I should have known about. Amber W. 12/21/2010 9:10am
My daughter asked Santa for all sorts of crazy things this year such as a real Yorkie dog, a guinea pig, and a pony. But in the end she will be receiving a karaoke machine because she has really shown an interest in singing!! Jennifer N. Boerne, TX 12/21/2010 12:07pm
By far the most researched gift was an ipod touch for my son. I had to find the best deal out there on it. Then for my husband a new golf club (some iron with a special shaft). Good thing I do work for a golf club, all I had to do was place my order! Tabitha (Boerne, TX) 12/21/2010 1:18pm
Well, our son Myles has requested some interesting things including suction cup shoes because he wants to be like Batman. Of course, they are no where to be found so I went to Lowes and purchased 2 plungers and we are going to use an old pair of his shoes to make suction cups. Once he finds out the shoes will NOT allow him to stick to the wall like Batman, he may be disappointed but I hope he enjoys our effort in trying to humor him! I love working on gifts like these!
